weblogic

Error in configuring weblogic 12c and jaxrs 2.0: Caused by: java.lang.LinkageError: ClassCastException: attempting to castjar:file:<middleware_home>/oracle_common/modules/jersey-core-1.18.jar!/javax/ws/rs/ext/RuntimeDelegate.class to zip:<domain_home>/servers/ReportServer/tmp/_WL_user/jax-rs/prnh4c/WEB-INF/lib/javax.ws.rs-api-2.0.jar!/javax/ws/rs/ext/RuntimeDelegate.class

Weblogic unpack command failed

If you try to unpack a manage server template and get an error telling you that your unpack command failed.

Take a look at the log file located under your $MW_OME/log directory starting with a name like unpack_<today's date>.log.

The log file will tell you exactly what the problem is. In my case, I was recreating the domain and the application directory already contained the application.

The application directory needed to be empty.

Pack and Unpack Command in Oracle Weblogic

weblogic

Weblogic Domains containing manage servers can be extended to different servers. To do this, weblogic comes with the pack and unpack tools. The pack command creates a template archive (.jar) file that contains a snapshot of either an entire domain or a subset of a domain. You can use a template that contains a subset of a domain to create a Managed Server domain directory hierarchy on a remote machine. The unpack command creates a full domain or a subset of a domain used for a Managed Server domain directory on a remote machine.
